Anemia

I know I'm pretty new to running, but I had never realized that runners could get anemia due to iron loss in sweat and heel-strike hemolysis:

Anybody had any experience with this?

Yes. My Doctor put me on a small iron supplement, told me to eat more spinach and just a little red meat. Interestingly, he did not tell me to quit running. He is a strong supporter of running for fitness. Cool guy! My anemia is now under control.0

great article, especially since I'm also training for a triathlon and am anemic ... was before I started running again, so know that is not the cause, but iron was still on low side even with my iron supplements last time I got it check... I have it checked every 3 months0
