Has anyone felt the presence of the corpus luteum

I had what I think was ovulation cramps on the left on day 14. From day 20 I have had a dull pain/discomfort in the lower left side of my abdomen right around where my ovary should be. It has been almost a daily discomfort at random times throughout the day since. I haven't taken a HPT yet, because my period isn't due until Thursday. The cramping is concerning me and I want to ask if anyone in this group has ever felt the presence of the corpus luteum after implantation. I am hoping that is what I am feeling, but I am worried it could be something else like a UTI or some other unpleasant diagnosis. From what I have read some women do feel the corpus luteum early in pregnancy and those who feel ovulation are more likely to feel the corpus luteum. Anyone else have experience with this?

I've never heard that term before so I couldn't tell you if that's what I felt, but about a week before my missed period I definitely felt something different than premenstral cramps. It was a very unique feeling that I'd never felt before and that was my initial indication I may be pregnant; random slight discomfort, but noticeable enough not to be confused with anything I'd experienced before. I actually waited until a week late to take a HPT because depending on work/stress I could start as late as day 29 or 30. But come day 33 there was no denying the HPT
Hope that helps!

I haven't heard that term either...sorry! However, about a week before AF was due I did start getting mild cramps and I never had in the past. I would only get cramps when AF was here, so I thought that was kinda weird, but tried not to really make anything out of it unitl I took a test.... When I did test it was positive!0

I had what I thought were menstrual cramps, but I ended up with a positive pregnancy test a few days later.0

I didn't feel anything. A normal cycle for me was always anywhere between 28-35 days, I took the HPT on day 34. I didn't want to wait until my period was late because A - DH and I were both home (it was a Saturday), so I was able to tell him right away and not have to go to work with it on my mind, B - because it was a weekend, I figured I should know if I should pass up on having a drink or two, or if it would be okay to indulge a little.0

I don't remember honestly but I do remember having some cramping within the next weeks; but that's not unusual for me. I was really surprised that I was pregnant because I had all my usuall PMS symptoms, but milder than usual. The only difference was that my lower back really hurt and I was having crazy vivid dreams.
Then after the BFP, I had some cramps like when I'm JUST about to get my period. Other than that, it was just a usual, excruciating two week wait!0 -
I did, and I read on twoweekwait.com that some people do. I don't think it's abnormal. If the pain becomes stronger, constant, and/or unbearable, then I would call your doctor or go to the ER.0
