Had my first turbo fire session today - as per the plan.... It must have been a very entertaining watch for the neighbours as I punched the air and hopped around in a rather uncoordinated fashion... I think being 5"8 just makes me look like a lanky puppet at times :) But that's all part of it and I had such a fun time!!!

I felt ridiculously hungry afterwards... Even after a normal gym workout I'm not finding myself hungry after my *after workout meal* but I have had a weight watchers bar, a protein revival drink and I'm now onto a *Super Greens* supplement drink and I'm still feeling like I haven't eaten at all.... Normally those protein drinks fill me up like crazy.

Just wondering - though I have purchased a heart rate monitor now and I am in the 3-4 day waiting period to receive it.... How do I estimate my calories burned? I was constantly moving around this morning, despite my lack of coordination, however because I was mildly struggling to keep up, I found in doing the punches/uppercuts and all those I probably didn't push out as hard as I could have, because I literally was just rushing through it to keep up......... But as I said, for the cardio side of things I was definitely upbeat, bouncing around, and sweating like crazy compared to when I am at the gym..........

How many calories would you suggest I may have burnt?

Thanks :)

I'm 5'2 and weigh 143lbs. My HRM says that during Fire 30 I burn about 338 calories and I keep my HR up pretty high - 164 avg. But I can tell you that I also find myself much more hungry after doing TurboFire workouts - especially on HIIT days, even though those workouts are shorter! Your body is just burning more calories even after you finish your workouts. I eat around 1600-1700 calories per day when doing TurboFire and that seems to keep me satisfied, but I try to get in good calories with lots of protein and veggies. Also, make sure you are drinking enough water. I drink a ton more water when I am doing TurboFire :)

While waiting for your HRM you can log it in MFP - "Kickboxing including Turbo Jam" is an option.
