Can anyone tell me if there is there a big difference between using the Results and Recovery Formula vs. Whey Protein Powder? I'm currently using GNC Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60. Being new to using a whey protein powder and understanding its purpose, the store clerk said that this was the best one. Some facts about the product are below:

- 30% Increase in Muscle Strength**
- Rapid Absorbing Whey Isolates & Hydrolysates
- 7.7g of Leucine Plus 8.5g of Micronized Aminos
- Increase Strength & Stamina with Half the Sets*

Once per day, consume 3 scoops (79g) of Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60™ in 12 oz. of cold water 30 minutes after your workout. On non-training days, consume 3 scoops first thing in the morning. For extreme results, take twice a day, pre- and post-workout.

Also, am I hurting myself if I drink the protein powder after my workout and so after have my dinner that consist of a protein, vegetable and a carb? Does the protein in my dinner serve the same purpose as the protein powder?

I don't know this one but.... From what I've seen...

The recovery formula and whey is pretty different... Some whey have some recovery stuff in it but still...

The recovery drinks have stuff that helps you process the protein, helps muscle break down, soreness and more...

Whey protein shakes are muscles booster! pure energy...body fuel

You need both (in my opinion).

I take my recovery drink during my workout and I take my protein shake after.
My recovery shake is Elite Recoup - Punch (Dymatize).... it's great cause you can take it during your workout... (like water).

Bumping because I have a similar question, would a protein shake or a recovery drink such as chocolate milk be more beneficial post Insanity workout?
