Hello,
I make a post for discussion, but unfortunately it got locked before I could state something that I really wanted to state so I hope no one minds if I put it in here:

......................................................................I am a gay person who is a member on MFP, so I am a member of this group within MFP that is for gay people on MFP (like me!). I think it is the group for ME!!!

My name is Joselito I am 21years old,I lost 18lbs so far, down to 388. I don't know how many more to go but I made progress so far!!!

I hope I can be a member in this group for gay people like me and we can talk of all kinds of relevant things. Why it is important for me to say, I am a gay person so my identity of being gay is equally valid as all the other gay people in the world, so no matter how diverse we are, there is one way in which we are a group as one, being gay, an everyone can own that, and express that and even LIKE that about themselves in freedom of who they are. Everyone on of us!!

I have made a few posts here including my introduction but this is seperate to my introduction because I wanted to make here this point.

Also I live in the UK.

And I am gay.

xxxxxxxx

It's funny how the identity of a person can change opinions about what they say. I suspect your other thread wouldn't have been locked if it had been clearer in your post or your profile that you are a member of the gay community with ideas about the community rather than a non-member attacking the community.

    In any case, welcome!

Hello thankyou for the welcome. Yeeeah, i think i somewhat misjudged the mood there, I thought it would be an interesting debate, but i got that wrong, sorry bout that if i caused some upset i didn't mean to. I still have my own views but i have to learn to know when to say and when not to! i thought i would just be assumed that i was gay.........but i guess we cannot assume anyone is gay any more than we can assume they are not gay!

it wouldent be the first time ive got in trouble for saying things! I think I just wanted to say I am in the right group really! But I hope that is not important anymore, the main thing is the point I make- we are all different in many ways but if we are all LGBT there is a sense of community and belonging within that, because we all on a shared thread, i think the is the advantage gay people have, that sense of belonging an connection sometimes. I'm might be a funny kind of gay because I only ever had one boyfriend but i still am in myself! Thank you sorry thank yoooooooooooou!!! xxx
