Hey baby what are you doing this weekend?

So it is the weekend. What is everyone up too?

I have 45 mins of work then heading to the airport to fly to MI for the Twins @ Tigers 3 game series with a friend. Fly in, head straight to the ball park for a 7:05 game, have a 4:05 game on saturday and a 1:05 game on sunday which I will go straight to the airport after.

Going to all 3 games? Why? Twins are terrible this year. Tigers have also underachieved.

Because I am a die hard fan and will love them win or lose. It is going to be tough though since the Tigers are only out 3 games and I would prefer them to win the division then the hated White Sox. My friend is a Twins fan and her fiance is a Tigers fan and his brother might be going along also and he is a Tigers fan. We get together at least once a year to see Twins vs Tigers since they live just outside of Detroit.

Yeah I'm a huge Tiger's fan, it's been frustrating watching them struggle all years with just the fundamentals especially since the rest of the division isn't very good either.

What do you do with the peppers? Use in recipes and such, or are you making salsas?

The White Sox have good head to head records against the Yankees and Rangers. That could bode well for them if they make the postseason.

The trip to Detroit makes sense.

I'm also impressed that there are no indications that the Twins are going to fire Ron Gardenhire, despite 2 really bad seasons in a row.

I'm working during the daytime this weekend, but I'm having the new guy over for dinner tonight. Going to do souvlaki on my grill.

He's keen to get together again tomorrow night, but we are going to have a serious talk tonight about children. I don't want to put this off too long into things and if we are on different pages there, I'll be alone Saturday night. This is a major deal-breaker for me and I have no idea where he really stands on it based on his POF choice of Open/Undecided. I'm 42, so it's a bit of a pressing matter for me.

Going to Cardiff (NOT my favourite place) tomorrow to make a recording, so quite a stressful Saturday. Sunday will be recuperating from Saturday (I'm usually fairly Zombie-fied the day after a show or recording session), going to visit my elderly landlady in hospital, and maybe going to an antiques fair here in London. Not the most exciting weekend, but it gets a few things done that need to be done, and next weekend should be lots of fun, to make up for it!

He was manager of the year 2010. Also the issue isn't really his fault it is the pitching and injury. We have used AAA pitchers all year long.

If I had a dollar for every free Twins ticket I've been offered this year... I could buy season tickets for next year

I'm in cake diva/ beast mode. My nephews 2nd birthday party is tomorrow and I'm making his cake. It's a fancy 2 tier super hero theme. I'm decorating today!!! So excited..

I might see Mr. BB but not sure as he's working late. I was supposed to go to a car show tomorrow but I'm opting out as it'll interfere with nephews party. My cousin is throwing her husband a small party at a nearby bar so I'll probably end up doing that tomorrow night instead.

Sunday will be errand day. Blah.

I have had enough of people lol. Everyone wants and needs something. I remember now why I like to be alone so much!!

    FOOTBALL!!!

My singles group is going to watch Beardburn's high school football game. I'm excited to finally see him work, but if it's a bad game I'm worried he'll stress about my being there. Saturday I'm going with him to NSU for alumni day (more football, lol!). Sunday relaxing dinner with friends and then watching the Steelers kick butt.

@MM You're gonna see the Twins in person?? very cool!
@Carl picking/freezing peppers, love it!! I use mine to make sauces, add to soup. What will you do with them?
@Mellie I hope the "kids talk" goes well
    @Castadiva recording for what??
@La_Amazona Mr. BB?? How did I miss this?? (when I saw it, I thought beardburn, lol!)
@Moe, stinks to have a chemistry test hanging over such a nice, relaxing weekend
@Jen, two birthdays and a football bbq?? fun! We'll all be curious to hear details if there's any clash between ex and mr nice guy
@lacroyx that's so cool, to be an inspiration like that!
@Jenn I know how you feel about having enough of people! I'll be like that monday, after this whirlwind football weekend!
    @The_Iron rollercoasters, whoo hoo!

Hi Janie - it's mostly for an application to a very big competition in the Opera world, though I usually have to make a recording about this time of year anyway, to send to Young Artist Programmes, Competitions and for my agent to send to Casting people - an expensive, but necessary, part of being a young singer, that has to refreshed roughly once a year, as the voice develops. This time, the really scary thing is that it's DVD material instead of just sound, and can't be edited at all, so it all has to be whole takes... And the camera adds 10lbs :grumble: so I'm not going to want to look at it. Listening to myself is bad enough without adding visual as well - I'm my own worst critic and hear/see all the flaws!

But you're gorgeous! Even "camera weight" can't hide that. Don't worry about it!! I'm sure they'll love you. I can see how that would be stressful, though!!! Just think of how relieved when it will all be over. ;-)

 I foresee a very large single malt on Saturday night when I finally get home! Thanks, Janie. If nothing else, it'll look a lot better than it would have done a year ago. I'm going to keep on reminding myself of that. Have a great weekend of football!

The kids talk must be a rather difficult talk to have.

I do think by a certain point, most people know to an extent what their stance is on having children.

I think Leyland will be done in Detroit too if the Tigers don't make the playoffs. I'm hearing rumors about bringing in Francona. He takes a lot of heat but I don't think it's his fault they can't play defense.

I'm running a 5K in my hometown tomorrow morning. There is a fair there this weekend so I will catch up with old friends tonight and maybe tomorrow. I may come back to Springfield tomorrow afternoon though. There is a car show downtown that's a pretty big attraction.

Not much as usual. Maybe cleaning the house again and going to the gym.
  • I dream of a relaxing weekend, but it is going to consist of going out with the guy I am seeing to dinner and a movie (End of Watch) tonight. Tomorrow, I am work (boo!) and then going to a bonfire or meeting my friend's ex (not quite sure why she wants me to meet him so badly). Then Sunday more work and maybe finally doing a complete house clean.

Oh my new neighbors asked if they could trim my bushes that border there property and I told them to go for it! They asked me a couple of weeks ago if they were mine or theirs and they would trim them if they were theirs since they don't want them to make my house to look bad. Needless to say, I haven't gotten to tackling them to help them make their house look good- so now they are doing it. Haha!

Tonight and tomorrow morning spending with my new man then Saturday night going to a friend's farewell party at a local pub. Then after that probably hook with my man again. Sunday will be doing laundry, cleaning and grocery shopping, also go see my mother as well.
