If playing as one of several dozen animals, such as the dreaded pomeranian and the dancy deer, frolicking about an abandoned Japanese city, needing to kill or be killed, feasting upon the flesh of other animals for those precious, precious kcals sounds appealing to you, boy have I got a game for you!

Tokyo Jungle releases on the PlayStation Network today for $14.99 (PS+ members get it for a few bucks cheaper).

And the good news? It supports multiplayer of some kind! I can't think of a more perfect game. Anyone else interested in this?

    I was so wanting to play this today... but my PS3 died Thursday night and it's still in the shop.

    Is there a support group for that kind of thing?

    This is the kind of crazy that should be coming out of Japan more than it is. They've tried to go more towards how U.S. development is, and I think it's a huge mistake. Tokyo Jungle is something that only Sony could really get away with, but it's so awesome when they do.

    Sorry to hear that...

    The good news is that Tokyo Jungle is pretty good, so when you get your system back you've got that to look forward to.

    I was playing as a deer and as I was prancing through the mean streets of Tokyo, a freaking crocodile chomped down on me, and then his crocodile buddy came and joined in. Pretty awesome.
