OMG. My coach has decided to do named workouts for people on their birthdays. Today was Barbara's b-day, so we did Barbara. (AND she didn't even show up today!!)
I scaled to 3 rounds. Still thought I would die. (& finished about the same time as the Rx guys)
Rx Guy: "It's days like this I wish I was short so I could use the lower pull up bar.."
me: "It's days like this I wish I wasn't fat so I could do a pull up."
I'm pretty happy that there's no WOD with my name right now.

In my opinion, Barbara is the hardest WOD I've ever done. I just recently had occasion to arrange for my own special class, and invite friends to join me at "Conquering Barbara". 14-16 people showed up to conquer the WOD themselves, and cheer me on to finish as well. The first time I met Barbara I had a goal of finishing just two rounds in the max time; I missed by 40 seconds and was beyond disappointed. For "Conquering Barbara" the coach did 5 rounds for time, no max. We were in it til we were done. While others may think my time is terrible (57 minutes).... I'm proud as h3&^ that I FINISHED!!0

I did Barbara yesterday too! RX'ed in 40 min. Too long IMO. Pullups are my fave thing in the world but I can't do more than 5 at a time, pushups are just terrible!! situps and squats I can rush through successfully.0

^^ Love this!!! I haven't done Barbara (that still sounds so funny to me to say), but I just checked it out and OMG :noway: . I'm just learning the fist kip baby steps so my pullup scale is x number of swings = x number of ring rows = 1 pullup. Barbara would take me all day to complete.
Nice work!!!0 -

I'm too new at CF to have a time opinion, but when I was training for my 1st half marathon (at 50 years old) an elite runner friend of mine told me he has huge respect for slow runners and their endurance because they are out there twice as long or more than the elite runners and just keep going.
Great job!!0 -
Wow I just looked up Barbara and have to say kudos to you all!0

That Barbara can be a real b*tch! I have done it and I managed to finish, but I was sore for days and days afterwards. Excellent job on completing it!0

I did Barbara today! Made it through 4 rounds in the 40 minute time cap.
I rarely lay down right after a WOD...but I made one hell of a sweat angel today!0
