Previously, I was being seen at the Breast center as my bumps were on my breast and some in my armpits. Now they are mainly in my armpits, so I saw a dermatoligist ( i think I spelled it wrong ). He looked me over and asked my history, iIve never been on a steady coures of antibotics, so he wants me to take for the next 90 days, anybody else has to take them this long? If so what was your result?

Hey :) It was suggested to me at A&E and at the dermatologist to try longterm antibiotics but my doctor wasnt keen on prescribing them (Something to do with building up immunity), I think it might be worth a shot though, depending on how often you get the abcesses and how painful or how much they affect your day to day life!

    Good Luck! :)

I had short-term good results with antibiotics when I was about 25 (20+ years ago)... so when I saw the dermatogist 3 years ago I asked about that as a possibility. He immediately put me on long-term.

    Nothing changed.

I stopped taking them because I really don't want to be taking any chemicals that I don't need to... and since they weren't changing anything... I don't need to.

If you don't mind taking drugs, try it... give it about 3 months and see if you see any changes. Because it is such an up & down kind of disease, I couldn't mark any progress.
