Lookin' for Positive Encouragement

Hello everyone! I'm looking for friends on MFP who view proper nutrition as a part of holistic, spiritual approach to optimum self-care. I have practiced mindful eating and found it very beneficial to proper portion management and believe food is fuel for my body. For that purpose I do not eat refined, overly processed foods. I think I should enjoy my food, but it's not something I need to be completely excited about. Just okay, is just fine for me today. While others may get excited about a slice of cake, I'm excited about my apple at lunch.

Living in this way is challenging at times, especially when food is such a social lubricant. If eating naturally and balanced for your body I'd love to add you to my friends and use you for support and encouragement. I'd offer the same in return!
