I'm sorry I've deceived you by joining this group, I just don't know who to turn to. Finding your group I hope to gain some perspective in order to help a friend who had a baby 3 weeks ago and has asked me for help. So to the purpose oof this post:
Any lovely mums have any advice for a beginner of healthy. My friend was slightly overweight before she got pregnant, are there any questions I should be asking her before we get started? What is she allowed to do to start since she still is fairly new from childbirth, there was no c-section. Do you think this whole process would be easier to do if I was sitting in the same room as her rather than through Facebook? I can't think of much else but I hope you can help me figure things out before I answer her text message.
Thank you ahead :-)

At this stage she could start walking. My daughters loved being in the stroller or carrier.

Once she gets the ok from her Dr, usually at 6-8 weeks then she can start exercising. Finding time is hard. I liked the mom & baby DVDs and I also had some 10 minute ones. Unless I go to a gym with child care, I don't exercise for more than 30 minutes. Even in the morning, I can only get up 30 minutes earlier.

Eating is really important now especially if she is nursing. Exercise has never helped my weight loss but it does encourage me to follow a healthier life style.

Her diet is the main thing thats going to help with weight loss. Although if she is breastfeeding she still wants to eat a lot of healthy low calorie foods. eat every couple hours and try for 2000-2200 if shes breastfeeding. thats what i started out for the first 2 months.
