Hi,
I recently got frustrated with my general dr because he didn't give much importance to PCOS while having my annual checkup (after 2 yrs since I had a baby 8 months ago) and just kept me on the Metformin so I made an appointment with a Naturopathic dr that also has PCOS and she seems helpful. So far she recommended a gluten, wheat and a dairy free diet and put me on vitamins. Do you think I should also see an endocrinologist?

I saw an endocrinologist when my symptoms first started and I knew something was up, but he didn't help me in any way. Then a few years later I was at my gyno and telling her what was up (missed periods and such). She recommended I see a type of fertility specialist that they have over here. I made an appointment and they diagnosed me right away even after I knew something was up and no one else was helping. I was prescribed metformin, but I stopped taking it. I was instructed to stay on bc as that helps me. No children here. I would love a more natural way to help myself out besides diet and exercise. I was thankful that the doctors at least guided me and clarified what was going on. Would love to read other people's answers.0
