At my jazzercise studio I noticed there are no mirrors....Esp at first I thought this was kind of weird but now I don't even think about it. Do you guys have mirrors at yours or not?

hey!
I've been to studios both with and without mirrors...personally I like them without!0 -
We have a portion of one wall with mirrors, in the back. I position myself there no matter how full or empty the class is. Now that I have all the moves down, I want to concentrate on my form.
It kind of bothers me that some people don't do the moves properly; I cringe. Then I remember to concentrate on myself. But I just want everybody to get the most out of their workout.0 -
There have been a few scattered about in a couple centers I have worked in, but for the most part, no. That is a Jazzercise mandate, actually. There are reasons behind it, but I can't tell you offhand what they are. It might be as simple as helping people to become more confident an not criticize themselves so much...
I think that the optional mirror is a great idea. As an instructor, I often take other people's classes for fun and educational purposes. I always jump in front of a mirror during strength training if possible, to check and perfect my form.0 -
I hate front view mirrors-- I love side view mirrors, great to check on form. No way do I ever want to see the vein on the middle of my forehead popping out, or that goofy "work out" face, lol...... But side view, I'll take it!0
