Do you find that it is easier to lose weight while taking Metformin? I've stopped taking mine but am considering adding it back in because it does help with the symptoms of PCOS.
Also, feel free to add me! I'm new here around here and it is GREAT to see a group for those of us with PCOS.

I never noticed a difference myself, just upset stomach occasionally.0

It has definitely helped me. I still get pretty big cyst clusters, but it's not every month like it used to be. I can't really say if it has helped me lose weight, but I am losing quite a bit so I imagine it plays some role. My fasting glucose blood tests have gotten drastically better, that's for sure, which is the primary reason to take it anyways. I have a really sensitive stomach, but after the first month or so of upset stomach I haven't experienced much more trouble and as long as I stay away from tons of sugar and carbs I feel fine.0

I have found the Met to help with losing weight. Lost most of my weight after re-starting it and the only thing I was doing different was walking more(adopted a dog) and the Metformin. I started on 1000XR and am now on 2000XR. Hoping that it will help kick start some other things but no luck as of yet.0

If your taking Metformin just make sure you are taking a B12 vitamin. B vitamin is very important for woman with PCOS but especially if you are on Metformin since it tends to cause a deficiency in B12.0

I lost 30 pounds in one summer while being on it. However, I had to go off because it was sick as a dog every day. I have been off of it for years now and am trying to lose the weight again.0
