I was contacted the other day by a research company working on developing a "24 Hour Glucose-Sensitive Insulin" who wanted to use this picture of my daughter on their website. I thought it was kind of cool.

This is all I know about it:
Jeff:
I am working on a glucose-responsive insulin startup, based on technology from the Texas Children’s Hospital & Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX). If it works, it may make basal and prandial insulin obsolete, replacing that regimen with a true once-a-day insulin. I have a ton of diabetes in my own family, including four aunts/uncles that are insulin-dependent, which is why I’ve been working on this technology for 4 years without a salary.
We are looking for potential artwork for our website (www.sensulin.com), and came across your photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/capturelifeinaction/6880171870/in/pool-diabetes-visible We would, of course, be willing to attribute the work to you, something like Flickr Photograph (CC) by J. Mac.
Anyways, please let me know if this might be possible, and thanks for taking a look.
Warmest Regards,

I love the picture!0
