Hi Ladies,

Anyone else had any pink when they have wiped before? I had some yesterday and the doctor has put me on modified bedrest the rest of the week. The pink subsided almost immediately but now I am nervous!

I have early on in the first trimester. (I am now well into the third trimester with no issues.)

In my case, I had a slight infection, and since there is more blood flow to the cervix during pregnancy, I was spotting a little from it. Sounds like you've already spoken with your doctor. I know it's hard not to worry, and I did my fair share during the first and beginning of the second trimester because I had some other bleeding issues as well. Very long story, but all is well now!

With my last pregnancy I was seeing pink and went in for a ultrasound to make sure everything was okay. Of course, it was and they told me to relax that everything was fine & I just needed to rest.

But, it kept happening and I was swelling in my lady bits really bad. I kept telling the OB (not MY OB, mine was out of town so this was a different OB) that I was wiping blood still and demanded another cervical check.

Well, as soon as he checked he was like "Well, you have a yeast infection, and it's gotten so bad that it's causing you to swell, which caused a crack in your skin that is bleeding". I don't know how the hospital staff missed that one - but long story short... It's probably not a big deal - but you know your body better than anyone (even your nurses and doctors) so if something feels off keep pushing until you get an answer.

I'm glad my bleeding didn't have anything to do with my baby - but I was really worried until I finally got an answer.

I had LOTS of bleeding in the first AND second semesters (24.5weeks now). They never could figure out why which drives me crazy of course. But baby is fine she's kicking away as I write. So don't necessarily think the worst please. I hope it's nothing for you!! How far along are you?

I had some spotting for three days in my 4th week but it seems to have subsided. I was told by my dr that I needed to cut back on the amount of stuff I was doing and rest more. I had spotting for the first 11 weeks with our first and she turned one last week. Follow your doctors orders and keep well hydrated. Wishing you all the very best!

I had some spotting about a month ago. It was caused from a cervical infection, but since I got it treated, everything is fine.

Definitely don't panic, but please do follow your doctor's recommendations.

Another thing. Try to abstain until you get checked out and rest as much as possible. That's what my dr told me. In fact I've been on pelvic rest (no sex) and no exercise since 12 weeks. I hope it stops! How are you today?

I am 8w5d and had this happened to me yesterday evening. It was literally one time, and I've been fine since with no cramping or anything. I started an antibiotic for a slight bladder infection yesterday, so perhaps it has something to do with that. I have a message in with the OB nurse to call me back, and I have a feeling they are going to tell me to take it easy, which might mean no Spinning tomorrow, but if that's what they say, that's what I'll do!

Let me also add that I had a stomach bug on Wednesday, so I couldn't keep anything down, not even water. Perhaps dehydration had to do with it, but I was weirded out that I was having a miscarriage due to being dehydrated.

I'm sure I'm fine, but I will be relieved once I talk to the nurse, regardless of what she says.

Quick update, in case anyone is curious:

The OB nurse told me that since my bleeding is not continuous or active, plus the fact that I'm not feeling cramping outside of the occasional slight cramping from uterus growth (which I've been having since I found out I was pregnant), I'm probably fine. If I have more bleeding and/or pain, I'm to call and they will see me ASAP.

However, she did tell me to take it easy and not work out this weekend :frown:

ETA that I am on pelvic rest, too. My husband was thrilled to hear that.
