Hi Everyone!

I'm excited to introduce myself since I've been dying to try this program (or any kind of heavy lifting) for quite some time. Last weekend I got a barbell for my birthday and got down to business. The summary is a lifesaver...if you read it correctly. I thought the 1st workout was a breeze because I failed to catch that most bars are 35-45 lbs, when mine is only 11. Live and learn...

I do have a question for you experts. Up until now I've been taking Body Pump and really enjoying it. For those who haven't taken it, it's light weights for a total of 600 reps. Since it's not true "heavy lifting", do you think it's ok to continue on my off days?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Joan

If your energy and food consumption levels allow, continue to do what you can. But once you lift heavy and I mean heavy, then the cardio (small weights high reps) tends to take a back seat.
