Triathlon coach?

How many of you have a triathlon coach? If so, what type (one-on-one in your area, online, etc.)? How much do you pay (if that isn't too personal)? I am interested in one, but I am not sure I can afford this, and I am wondering if it is really necessary and/or how much it would help.

I have one. Online only. I "met" her through the mentor groups at www.beginnertriathlon.com. I pay nothing as I'm pretty much her guinea pig as she's a new coach. I do have friends that pay from $50 to a couple hundred dollars a month for coaching.
I find it beneficial. I tend to overtrain so having a coach keeps me in check. I go out and execute what she puts on paper, and I'm not left to my own devices. I also have made gains by leaps and bounds in speed, endurance, and heart rate. How much of this is attributable to Kelly? IDK. But if it ain't broke I'm not fixing it.
Now is it necessary? Totally user dependent. Some people do great with plans from books or off websites, some don't. Some people respond well to coaches that are local and some are fine with online.0
