Anyone from the Atlanta GA area? My boys moved there this summer with thier dad (I know some of you already know this) and I decided after them being there for 4 months, that is where I need to be as well. So as soon as I find a job I will be going to be with my boys.

Do you have some ATL area connections in place who can get you job interviews already?

no I do not have any connections. Going at this completely blind. I'm going to try to contact a staffing agency down there and see if they can help

I am a few hours from Columbia and have some friends and contacts in the area. PM me and Ill see what I can do to help.

FYI, I am not a fan of Atlanta, but I totally understand moving to be where the kids are...it is what brought me to Columbia in the first place.

EDIT: I am a few hours from Atlanta in Columbia SC....fat fingered that one...sorry

I'm not in the area, but as much of a bad rep as they get, start with the area workforce development www.atlantaworkforce.org

They are real people who aren't out to get a comission.

If you think about it or didn't realize, most employers have to comply with ADA regulations which in laymans terms means that they need to post thier jobs with an area workforce because these people work with people with disabilities to help them obtain jobs, most recruiters don't.

So there maybe more opportunities and don't just check the Atlanta area, do the surrounding cities also, they tend to overlap sometimes.

Good Luck and YAY!!!! to see and hug the crap outta your boys.
