Obstacle race in the dark

So my next race is the Rebel Race 15k. It's going to be COLD. It's mid-November in Massachusetts. They had a 5k version, but what the hell, I figured it would be good Tough Mudder training.
The weird thing is that the 15k wave is only at 2:30pm. Sunset is 4:30. All the other obstacle races I've done have taken me slightly over 1 hour for a 5k, though some had more extreme obstacles (Spartan) or more extreme terrain (Warrior). The fastest 5k obstacle I did was 42 minutes. Regardless, I won't be finishing this before the sun goes down.
So I think I need a headlamp. Anyone have a reasonably priced recommendation that can hold up to mud?
I think I'll be ok on the cold front. Got the Frost Compression from Under Armour, coated on the outside, moisture-wicking on the inside.

REI has a pretty good selection of headlamps. I got the cheap version just in case and while I didn't have to use it, it survived the Carolinas Spartan with no problem. It ended up covered in mud. I just washed it off and it worked great. I forget the brand, but it's the $15 one. I didn't see any point in spending $50 for a light.0
