Has anyone else bought a kindle fire?
I got mine today and am very happy with it.
This is my first foray into the tablet market so I've not really any benchmark, but it's been so easy to set up and use to the point that all I've really needed is a few login details.
Only time will tell how useful this will be or just another gadget, but I'm a happy bunny.

Nice ! Looks like a very good wee tablet, not as complex as the Nexus or the hefty pricetag of the new mini iPad - wish many long happy hours with it0

I bought one in the USA last December and I love it apart from the fact that I could not put any apps on it because Amazon .co.uk was not set up for the fire. I got around this by registering my daughters US address and C/C details but would really like to de-register it now and use my details and access the UK Amazon apps(I assume they now have them?) Also I have only been getting the free Apps because don't want my daughter to have a massive bill so it would be good to be able to actually buy some Apps and more books. I am scared to de-register incase as I have read on a couple of other discussion boards that because my kindle was imported from the US Amazon.co.uk will not work, even though this sounds odd to me.:ohwell:0

I bought a Kindle Touch in the US earlier this year and registered it to my amazon.co.uk account and haven't had any problems at all.0

Yep, same here, I bought my touch in the states last year, along with a regular kindle for my mum. Both registered on amazon.co.uk with no trouble. The only problem we had was that we couldn't shop directly from the kindles, because it automatically went to the .com site. But that seems to have been fixed and we cans hop from the kindles no problem now.0 -
