Hi all, I am almost done with my 16 weeks of chemo and getting my mind ready for surgery, radiation and reconstruction..... What type of reconstruction have you all had and how did it go? I am stage 2B and the doctor was talking mastectomy before chemo. I am 37 so I am thinking that I want to take both of them off.

    HI,
    I hope you are holding strong through your treatment...I know how hard it is. I had 4 months of chemo and then waited 4 weeks, had my left breast mastectomy and then waited 6 weeks and then had 6 weeks of radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I am just now getting some energy back and I finished everything back in August. I am doing my reconstruction the end of this month...UGGG.

    I had a bilateral mastectomy with a DIEP FLAP for my reconstruction in May 2017. I am one year cancer free after going through my mastectomy, 6 rounds of chemo and 27 radiation treatments. Now I'm on Tamoxifen (the devil of a drug) for a little over a year now having 4 more years to go...
