success with mindfulness therapy

I want to thank mfp for helping me feel so much better. I always found mindfulness helpful and downloaded some apps which helped a little. But i wasnt doing it well and had low self esteem.
I started this journey randomly
by finding out i was in the overweight bmi. Mfp success stories encouraged me that i could try to lose weight all by myself. But i was anxious and not convinced. I logged, i got positive comments, i got rid of salt and sugar. I lost 5 kilos. I got back my self esteem from so many mfp encouraging me and family and friends noticing. Then i realised i was unconsciously doing mindfulness therapy. I got my tastebuds back. I savoured every bite. I consciously logged my calories and was proud of my achievements. Now to do the same in other areas of my life. Im still able to lose weight while on meds, yay!

Id love to hear other success stories with mindfulness therapy :-)

    what apps did you download ?

    I'm not necessarily at the place of success yet.

    The best apps i found were cbt based...worry box' and 'cognitive diary'. I use in conjunction with midnfulness i was taught. But out of my box of strategies i use breathing and mindfulness first every time
