In spite of misinformation on vegetarians not getting "enough" protein, I get all I need (45-75g/day) eating tofu, lentils, nuts, veggies and fruit. I personally feel we don't need the protein we are told we need. There is such a thing as too much protein. It's hard on kidney and liver, too.

Love your picture, Alice! I'm vegan, so don't get to use the "usual suspects" for protein go-tos. Today I'm including peanut butter with my lunch. For dinner, I plan to have lentils or quinoa - always great protein sources!

** KANGAROO - this is my fave - the leanest cut of meat, and very high in protein...love it!

Is Kangaroo readily available in the states and elsewhere? I recommend you give it a go - just don't overcook.

    cheers.

I've never seen kangaroo meat in local stores here in California. I took a look online and found a place that sells it. It is expensive!
Kangaroo loin is $122 for 4 pounds and ground meat is $185 for 10 pounds.

Does it taste gamey or wild?

As a teenager, I went to a family reunion in the Midwest where they served venison burgers. I thought they were regular beef burgers that had gone bad. It wasn't until after I discretely tossed mine in the trash that I learned it was actually fresh meat from a deer shot by an uncle.

I'm a Southern California girl. Our meat doesn't come from animals. It's all from the back room of the butcher department in the grocery store. ;-)

I have. Love the Yoplait Greek Yogurt, especially for 100 cal. I also like Frigo Motzerella cheese sticks for 80 calories. After a workout, it's a go to snack. My other top favorites: Tilapia, Salmon, Chicken, Pulled, roasted pork, and a Smoothie with spinnach, peanut butter, greek yogurt, honey, whey, and almond milk.
