Colder weather walking

So it's starting to get colder in our fair city. I have gotten into a pretty good habit over the last few months of waking up early and walking for 30 to 40 minutes. I use nike+ to track my walking (via the runs function) and use the time to catch up on NPR, podcasts and music.
I'm starting to find that I don't have any good cold weather workout gear. I just threw on some sweatpants and a hoodie and beanie this morning.
I think I would like to try and find a bit more "form fitting" (but not skin tight) warm clothes to walk in instead of bulky old fashioned sweat pants.
PS: I'm a large GUY. So the typical lulu-liz-lemon type for fitting womens clothes won't work.
thoughts?

Check at REI (****s, Sports Authority) - they've got thin base layer stuff that might work for you. My husband's also a big guy, and he gets his snowboarding base clothes there- something like that might work?0
