We are all wild and crazy single peeps here. :drinker: lol.

A breakroom conversation popped up. (Yes call us insane, I can't recall how it started)

Swallowing goldfish....anyone done it, know someone who did it? Share your experience, or their experience.

I myself would not could not bring myself to do it. That was my 2 cents worth in the conversation. ha ha

    My friend had guppies that wouldn't die. I think she made my sister swallow one O_O

    I would feel bad for the poor fish :(

    A friend/room mate in college used to do it as a party gag anytime we came across a party that had fish. All he needed was about 8-10 beers in him. He's now a prominent orthopedic surgeon.

    Yuck. Since I don't eat fish in any shape or form, swallowing a gold fish is not on my list of things to do...EVER!!

    This is very, very common in fraternity initiations.

    My very proper mother did this at a neighbourhood party...for $20. To be fair, she had been drinking a LOT of rum and eggnog, and it did earn her a lot of street cred with our neighbour's teenage sons. I was mortified at the time.

    Poor fish! I know people eat fish, and I eat poor cows and pigs, but that's to live, not to impress drunk frat kids! :grumble:

    during my sorority pledging hell week i did!
    it was a hilarious night, but was hazing in it's purest form ( minus making us swim in "waste" some of the guys get :-( ).

    i mean, i had a blast, but most of the girls were flipping out!

    one of the things we had to do was do a shot, with a goldfish, while blind folded..........

    When I was in high school, there was this guy in my humanities class that ate the teacher's goldfish.

    Yuck! I've never done that and never would! I haven't seen it either. I agree with the sentiment of "poor fish".

    I did not see this until today, BUT how funny!

    I did not realize how common this was. About 20 years ago (yikes!) I had a boyfriend and we were at a party, and he took a fish from the tank--a goldfish- swallowed it and then he vomited up all the beer he had been drinking along with the fish. He then picked up the fish and put it back in the tank.....it swam away, and was fine!!! EEEWWWWW
