Check-in - November 8th

Happy Thursday all! I have to admit that I'm pretty disappointed that we went from almost a dozen initial folks down to only 3 or 4 checking in each week. But, that is just how it goes in MFP sometimes. I know there are a few who haven't been back to MFP for over a month to log in, and others who moved on to other challenges. I am happy though for the couple of you who are sticking it out with me. And, if it ends up being only me...well then I stil have to be accountable to myself anyway!!

So I'm not sure what is going on with me, but my eating has not been great and while I'm getting in a walk here and there, I've been to the gym maybe twice in the last 3 weeks. Dealing with some stress and apparently, not well. But I have been dropping for the last couple of weeks - and so I feel good about that. I also think how much better I would be doing if I was truly on track. SO that is my goal for this coming week!


Challenge Goals:
* Lose 10 lbs - Update: Down 2.4 lbs for this challenge!!
* Eat 2-3 servicing of produce each day - Update: not there yet, but working on it.
*Gym (or home workout - 2-3 times a week - Update: only getting to the gym once a week, but working out at home to get my 3 sessions in for week.

    My three goals are:

    1. Eat less processed foods ~ this is a real struggle for me. I didn't realize up until a few months ago how much stuff I do eat that is processed. Everyday I try to eat less.
    2. Try one or two new recipes a week from the skinnytaste.com website ~ didn't try a new recipe this week.
    3. Lose 10 lbs.

    Well, I am totally sucking at all my goals ! I have been slipping back into some old habits and I am desperately trying to regroup and get back with it. I am still logging in everyday so I haven't completely fallen off the face of the earth ! LOL..

    Hello everyone!

    My three goals are:
    My 3 goals by Christmas are:
    1. Eat more fruits and vegetables
    2. Eat less junk and soda (before summer I was getting good at it, I picked these bad habits back up over the summer. I am having trouble rekicking the habit again)
    3. Start doing more strength training and do some jogging intervals

    I am not doing so great with the first 2. But, I have started with the 30 day shred and done some jogging intervals.
    Since I started my 30 shred dvd last week, I decided not to weigh myself until I am done with it. When it is over, I am going reweigh myself, do measurements and pictures. I did all of that last week.

    My goal for this week is definitely improve working on my goals.
  • Hello all! I feel like I'm doing ok with my initial goals of no soda, adding more fruits and veggies, and being consistent with exercise. I signed up for a winter running group so hopefully that will keep me motivated through the holidays. I've already baked two things today so my diet is going to be my biggest challenge.

  • My weight when starting this group was 266.3
    Yesterday I weighted in and was 263.0 so had a 3 # weight loss in 2 wks. Woo! Hoo!
    I'm also doing better on keeping my food journal.

    Hi Everyone - I'm still plugging along. Down another pound, really pushing myself with the water but still find it hard to drink more than 4-6 glasses a day without feeling like I'm going float away. still struggling with the exercise but I got my pool membership renewed and I start back swimming tomorrow, hopefully that will be a positive change toward that goal. Only 10lbs to reach my goal of 238 by New Years, still do-able but even if takes me a little longer that's OK, it's all about being a better healthier me not what a scale says and when.

  • So very excited today! For the first time in weeks, the scale has moved. I was really beginning to think is was broken since it would never drop below 139. Proud to announce today that I am at 138! I know one pound is not the triumph of the century but I haven't seen a change for five weeks so I'm overjoyed!!!
