I don't go to many live shows. The last metal show I went to was I think weedeater about a year or so ago.0
-
I love live music, so much so that at least once a year I head over and go to one of the European metal festivals. This year was Hellfest, in France (as was last year) and it was just...incredible. Look at the line-up, mind-blowingly good! The Valley stage would definitely be your kind of thing TheCrawlingChaos (incidentally it was headlined by Electric Wizard on the Friday)
Emperor playing the whole of 'In the Nightside Eclipse' for the 20th anniversary of it's release was the highlight of the weekend!0 -
I don't go to many live shows because I don't know a lot of people that share my taste in music. I almost saw Peelander-Z a few weeks ago, but I couldn't get anybody to go to some obscure punk show in a not-so-great neighborhood.
I would have loved to see Emperor at that show.0 -
I'm in the same boat. Advice- just go, even if you don't have anyone to go with. I've been to many live shows by myself, and these past two years went to Hellfest by myself. Of course- sitting in a field in France with 30 000 other people- you're not by yourself for long! Made some awesome friends and had an incredible time! And I'm not someone who is comfortable meeting new people- I'm very much an introvert and find it difficult talking to people I've just met.
Emperor was amazing. Just. amazing.0 -
i'm also kind of an introvert, which is why i never really considered going to shows alone. Maybe I'll try it out. I'll have to keep an eye out for local shows coming up.0
