New Routines!

So, I have been so busy that I have not learned many new routines since the first push on the R4 set a few weeks ago. I pulled it out again tonight and learned a few more for tomorrow.
This is not my favorite set....there are some strange songs in there...the ones that I love I REALLY LOVE (i.e., "Pound the Alarm," and just tonight "My Heart Skips a Beat"), but you will not catch me teaching a Bonnie Raitt song for all the tea in China!
What are the popular ones out there in cyberland? Instructors, what do you love to teach? Which ones do your students really respond to? Students, what are your latest favorites? ...just wondering....can't wait to get your feedback!

You've got to do J-Lo's Goin' In! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
Bieber's As Long as you Love me - works great. I've done standing & tube version and like 'em both.
Flo Rida's Let It Roll is a good one once you teach it. I can really get into the arm rolls.
I liked Work It.
And I know Never Ever Getting Back Together had mixed reviews but I liked it and it was a serious heart pumper.
I've still got a lot left to learn, too, and they are taping the next set this Friday!0 -
I totally skipped over Goin' In! I will check it out. I started off with about 10 new ones (including Bieber, which I love), and learned 4 more tonight. I also love Beautiful, which is kind of an underdog, but the routine is a real glute burner, so I like it as a BCO-M. (it is not BCO, but that is where I like it....)
I also like Work It, but I feel that it is not super intense, and I also have done Let It Roll as a student but not taught it, and I liked it more than I expected to.
Thanks for the tip on JLo!0 -
Excuse me! from a former instructor ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> YOU NEED to teach even the Bonnie Rait and other stuff you don't like or you think your class won't like..........honor Judi! Without her, you wouldn't have a thing!
Besides, what you like and what others like is different.....even if they are too afraid to mention it0 -
I like never getting back together and let it roll. I also really like the routines with kick boxing moves.0

We got some new ones in this week and I like a lot of them!!! I love the kickboxing one a lot... I also like the Madonna one where you lay out, have you guys done that one??
We did "we are never ever getting back together" a few weeks ago and it is definitely a hard one! I liked it at first but got sick of it real quick! We are doing one where we do the sashey with one foot in front of the other and then do the rocking back and forth and I HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT! Haha.0 -
We are doing "Lovestoned" by Justin Timberlake. I love any routines to his music:)0

No I don't!! There is no rule that says we have to learn every single routine - I know instructors who avoid Jazz Squares like the plague, and one who won't teach any techno (THAT, I think, is just stupid).
If I can't sell it, the students won't buy it. In my defense, I have a HUGE repertoire with a vast variety of styles. Better than almost any instructor I know, so I have no guilt about skipping Bonnie Raitt!! And you should hear my students when they don't like something (as well as when they do). They are not afraid to speak up AT ALL!! lol (sometimes I wish they were... )
They give us variety, and it is up to us to choose which ones we teach. I honor Judi to the moon, but still no Bonnie!! So there!0 -

A am currently in LOVE with Heart Skips a Beat....other recent favorites: Let's Go, Dedication to my Ex, and Feel So Close. Also love Girls Run the World standing with a weight. Killer.0 -

It is called "I Wanna Go!" ...lol0 -
Haha this thread cracks me up!!
Songs I like from R4:
Goin' In
Good Time
Let It Roll
Namaste (best ab ever!? floor & ball)
Pound the Alarm
We are Never Getting Back Together... way more fun than I ever thought possible for such a lame song!! I actually like the song now because I love that arabesque move. It's like funky hip hop!
Side note, I haven't learned the Bonnie Raitt song and don't plan on it, simply because I don't have time to learn all 30 songs. So by default, some must be omitted, and that's one of 'em!0 -
NEW JAZZERCISE ROUTINES AGAIN! Which ones are you loving?0
-
Fist Pump, Jump Jump gets me going, lol!0
-
Merry Christmas to all the Jazzercisers out there. Enjoy your holiday!0

Currently: Gangnam Style, Shine Bright Like a Diamond, and that Bruno Mars one. I hear there's controversy on the Facebook Instructor page that some instructors won't do Psi's (cause of his past history) or Bruno Mar's (saying the word sex). I'm glad my instructors will do these songs and not let politics rule the day. I'm there to dance, not get political!0

I was so happy when we learned Gangnam Style! So awesome!0
