Today's Challenge - Burpees.

Do as many as you can (count 'em) 5 rounds, 2 mins each round, 1 min rest between rounds.

    I was planning on doing either the WOD from Spartanrace.com -

    Warm up:
    25-100 jumping jacks
    5 minute jump rope

    Main Set:
    3 x 10-30 burpees
    3 x 5-15 pull-ups

    Cool Down:
    5 minute stretch

    Or a Tapout XT session.

    Watching all of the Spartan race videos - I need to start working on the arms more...

    Didn't keep track per round except my first round was 18. Steady decline after that.

    I have to work on form. My wrists are KILLING me.

    I dig the challenge...

    Let's keep these up.

    Mine came, essentially, like this...

    I was playing "Zombies! RUN!" in the local, huge, I mean big-big, like I've run in a ton of times already and haven't seen all of it big, cemetery...

    At the top of one hill I sprint to is a huge "touchdown" Jesus statue.

    I sprinted to him - one mile... Stopped in front of him - 12 burpees.

    Then I saw my deer - they're always good sports but I don't think they like me chasing them...

    Mile 2 - stop in field, 12 burpees.

    Back to Jesus and 12 more.

    Back to the apartment I'm currently staying in - 5K.

    (And some lengthy, ranting, paragraphs of gratitude and explanation are better left to the "select all, delete" key.)

    Anyway - feeling good.

    My training for the night:

    Treadmill: 6.2 mph for first 20 minutes and then 6.5mph for 5 min and finished it off with 7mph for 5 minutes: 5km

    Monday regular routine + some burpees:


    8x wide pull ups (48kg assisted)
    15x push up
    8x Chin Up (48kg)
    15x Military push up
    8x Reverse grip pull up(48kg)
    15x Wide push up

    8x wide pull ups (48kg assisted)
    15x push up
    8x Chin Up (54kg)
    12x Military push up
    8x Reverse grip pull up(54kg)
    15x Wide push up

    Burpees!!!

    27 @ 2 minute
    1 minute rest
    20 @ 2 minute
    1 minute rest
    20 @ 2 minute
    1 minute rest
    15 @ 2 minute
    1 minute rest
    18 @ 2 minute

    Normal Monday Routine:
    40 minute run/walk
    45 minutes lifting

    Spartan WOD + Monday Challenge:
    50 jumping jacks- then the neighbors pounded on the wall
    4.5 minute jump rope
    Burpees- I got to like 9 before they pounded again.
    No pull up bar at home, so I just did 3 sets of military push ups- 5/5/4
    5 minute stretch

    Things I learned today:
    Jumping jacks in the living room are not neighbor friendly
    Even burpees will piss off the neighbor's dog
    Tomorrow will be a good burn, as I will have TWO of Leata's challenges (Tuesday and redo Monday) and a WOD to do.
