Is it safe to wear a HRM during pregnancy?

Hi everyone! I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I've been working out a few days a week until now. I wear my HRM about an hour each time. I just read on another forum, a thread taking about how the use of home dopplers is not known to be safe or unsafe yet because women just recently started to use them by themselves and there is not enough research on that. Dopplers send sound waves in the womb. I know it's not the same piece of equipment, but can't find any info on it. How do HRM work? They pick up the electric signal of the heart, but I'm not sure how exactly. Do you think it could harm the baby? I'm a bit nervous now.

I am 35 weeks pregnant and have been using my Polar HRM the whole time. My midwife never said I should use it while working out. I havent ever heard that it was bad just that sometimes the HR is off a little because of the baby

I never even thought about it! Considering it's reading your heart rate and sending a signal to the receiver (your watch), I'd guess that it's fine. You can always call your doctor's office and ask!

I use my Polar FT4 and don't even think about it.
