2 Week Juice Fast

I plan on starting a 2 week juice fast on November 23 (the day after Thanksgiving) until December 7th. If I can last longer than that, then I will continue on, but for now I am only planning on 2 weeks.
My husband and I are going back home (we are living out of state right now) and I want to lose at least 10 pounds before we go back home to see our family and friends.
If anyone would like to join me on this juice fast, I would love the support and company, because I know that I am going to struggle to stick with it. I love juicing, but I don't usually have the motivation to stick with it....:ohwell:
Thank you!!

I am planning to do a 7 day fast starting tomorrow (Friday) morning. I'd like the company if you are still going to do it!0

Also I may go for 2 weeks but that second week I'll have to have some raw salads as my family will be here so I'm going to take that day by day.0

Hey! I actually started the juice fast on Monday (yesterday) but it is going great for me so far! YAY! I love juicing! How has your juicing been going ? I plan on going for at least 2 weeks, but hopefully up until December 14th (that is when we leave out of state). We will be with family after that, so juicing won't be as easy, so I will just try to eat as healthy as possible!0

I started my juice fast on Monday as well, so count me in. I am starting with 10 days and will re-evaluate after that. I'd really like to go for 30-60-maybe even 90 days, but I have a lot of weight to lose and health to gain and palate to train for veggies.
I have a little bit of a headache this evening, which I heard are pretty common, but I'm under a lot of stress as well so it could be from anywhere.
I struggle with the hunger still and haven't been drinking as much juice as I should.
Tried ginger in my juice for the first time today, it was interesting, sort of liked it. My normal juice is cucumber, carrot, celery (only 2 stalks because I tried 4 and it was TOO MUCH CELERY TASTE), kale, small green apple, lemon. Occasionally I do a more fruit heavy drink in the morning.
It takes me a good 40 minutes maybe an hour sometimes to drink about 20 oz. of juice.
Thinking about making a tomato based juice and warming it, sort of like a soup.
Any good recipes you've found?0 -

I started a fast yesterday. I'm a little headachy today but not too bad. I think if you heat your juice you will destroy some of the nutritional value. I find that a cup of herbal tea helps me when I'm craving something warm. I'm shooting for 7 to 10 days and then do a 30 day after the holiday. I thought if I gave myself a successful short fast it might be easier to do the 30. Good luck everyone. I hope you will post your ongoing progress0

I'm finishing day 4 of a seven day fast. Yesterday was my hungriest day but I didn't have any of the achy symptoms people talk about for day 3. At the end of three days I was down 4 pounds. More importantly, pants that had a two inch gap for buttoning I can close! I think this is really helping with bloat and is going to be a great kick start for me. Hope everyone else is doing well.0

I'm on day 5. This has been the easiest day so far. I haven't been hungry, my energy level is high, and I walked for 40 min after work. I've lost 4 pounds and people are commenting that I look thinner. It certainly isn't due to 4 pounds. I think it's reduced bloating and the increased energy that is making me look different. I probably won't post any more here as there doesn't seem to be much support at this time. Good luck0

Congrats Tofte. I fell off and am re-starting.
I find that in pretty much every group I join the messages are sparse and sporadic. I came to MFP to get and give support to people who really wanted to do this (lose weight, get fit, eat well, be healthy, self-discipline, etc etc) because I don't have a single person around me in real life to do that with and the few friends I have made around the internet are super into it for about 3 days and then they make excuses and unfortunately I get dragged down eventually too because I'm standing alone.
Sorry for the little rant
Anyway I wish you well, best of luck to continue.0
