my story

I was 26, strong, and in the prime of my life. Then, one day, I noticed that my legs felt like they were weak. With in a week, I had started falling, and my arms got weak too! I had extreme back pain (which turned out to be a herniated disc!) Another week went buy, and I couldn't pick up or hold my 2 year old boy. I had to have help getting out of chairs and more humiliating, off the toilet. I couldnt manage to go up or down stairs. I went to doctor after doctor who were treating my herniated disc, they thought that I had a pinched nerve. After 4 months of this, I finally went to a nuerosurgen in Colorado who took one look at me, and told me that he thought that he knew what was the problem. After on test, he confermed it but it was too late for him to do anything. My body had started the "rebooting" process and I was getting better. I has been 5 years now, and I am back to 100%, but I haven't forgotten what it did to me, and how I felt! I have been more proactive in my life, determined that if I ever get it again, I will be stronger, smarter and more capable of fighting it! So, untill then, no more flu shots! Vaccines etc. I know that they help people, and I am not opposed to them, they just aren't worth the risk to me!
