Hi Fellow Fitness Warriors!
I know the first post in our group support board asked you to define what being a fitness warrior means to you, but now I wanted to use this discussion topic to discuss why I decided to create this group and ask others to join in on our new year's resolution. I know we've all made new year's resolution before and probably still do for the most part, and yes, here's another one about weight loss. But I'm a goal oriented kind of girl and enjoy setting goals not only at the beginning of the year but throughout the year. Some I succeed at accomplishing and others I don't. But I don't focus on how many I achieve or how many I don't achieve. What's important to me is the journey towards achieving those goals and keeping my life as interesting as I can.
So as we move into another four years of what we all hope to be even better change in our country and around the world, I thought it would be great to be a part of that change by becoming a fitter and happier individuals. I could go into long a dissertation about how important our being healthier could help our economy and our global community, but you've probably already heard it and that's not the main focus of this group.
What I would like to focus on is spending next year setting goals and obtaining as many as we can with the support of this group. Soooo, starting the first quarter of 2013, each member of our group will:
1. Join Myfitnesspal.com and this group.
2. Set a90 day fitness goal (e.g., weight/inches loss, improve cardio, lower blood pressure, run a marathon, fit into an outfit, etc.).
3. Start the goal and keep the group informed of your individual progress.
4. Provide support to each other through our individual journeys through the group support board.
5. Have fun while going through our individual journeys.
6. Share our successes, challenges, and next goals with the group support board.
7. Continue to work towards a fitter and happier self!
For an entire year, you can set four individual 90 day goals and get support this group as you continue to work towards those goals. We're here for you and can't wait to start sharing our journey with you.
Be Encouraged!
