I'm sitting with a cranberry vodka waiting for my turn. Lots of interesting people watching is going on! Hopefully I make it! I've decided to go with Jason Mraz's I'm Yours.

I did well I think, but there are so many amazing singers here and only eight spots. I wouldn't be surprised if i didn't make it - but only mildly disappointed. We'll find out in about an hour.0

My go-to for karaoke is Regina Spektor, Fidelity but they don't have it. I can always sing it at my usual karaoke joint 0

I didn't make it
I think I went too safe with my song choice. I didn't care much for about half of their picks (there were soooo many good singers to choose from) but I guess they want the "bad" ones for TV too. Oh well!
Some song writer did give me a CD and said I should listen to it and contact her cause she would pay me to do a recording. She also said she was working on a childrens musical that I might be good for so it wasn't a total loss!0 -

Lol, well I wouldn't say I have "great talent" considering I didn't make it, but I am a passable singer in that I wouldn't be embarrassed belting out a tune at a party, driving in the car, in the shower or at a karaoke bar.0

I would never base my opinion on the winner of a contest being the most talented!! Very subjective arena. That's why I never watch the likes of xfactor or Britains got talent or whatever, cos I never agree with the so called judges!!
My Father was a musician and my ex the most amazing singer I've ever heard. He couldnt even get through the door of x-factor and associated 'talent' contests, simply because he didn't look right or act right, or play the game. It's a very harsh business :flowerforyou:0 -
