Ok im not looking to spend $50 a bra i would love something more like $20-30 but i have run into a problem finding nursing bras for those of us endowed in the chest region. I was a 36DD before getting pregnant and am not about a 42-DDD or 40ff or however those damn sizes go. All i know is that i cant seem to find nursing bras bigger than like 36DD or 38DD in the stores. These are just WAY to small. Anyone know where i can get some cheaper nurisng bras for a busty chick?

Check jcp.com - or go into the closest one to you... thats where I went with my first (and I'll probably end up there again because I liked their selection). If you go online you can select the cupsizes you are interested in looking at and they even have a few that go up to h. I'm not sure if this link will work but it's worth a shot.

They range from $25-42 bucks - but you could try searching for a coupon online. Or, find the one you want and look for it on overstock/amzon?

sometimes u can get lucky and score a good deal at motherhood.. am pretty sure they have DD because I bought a few after my 1st baby for @$10-20(on sale) and I'm a DD... w my 2nd I didn't even bother wearing the nursing bras. I just wore a regular bra w an under wire and still managed to easily get the boobies out to nurse and pump...0

I was a DD last time I was pregnant (I'm getting there this time, let me tell you) from a D, and I had a lot of luck at Wal-Mart (online). I think I got a set of two bras for $16 or $20 or something, and they were wireless (which sounds funny because I think of wireless as in technology) and comfy. I'm not sure how big they go, though, sorry!0

I'm wondering the same thing!!!!! Was a DDD now I'm at least an F or G. I tried on every kind of the biggest size motherhood carries and they offer ZERO support! The sports bra I was telling yall about awhile back from Lane Bryant looks almost identical to one of the nursing bras that motherhood has on their website but I decided to buy the one from LB bc I figured it was better support and it really is a lifesaver! I live in it now and I'm sure I will after my little man is here! Its easily accessible to the boob so I think it will be good for breastfeeding lol
Edited to add that LB always has good sales/coupons..I got my bra for $250 -
I went from a 34D to a 38DDD with this pregnancy, and have been wearing this Lilyette model for $25 from Macy's since August (5 month mark, when the girls, thankfully, stopped growing):

It's not a nursing bra, but it seems like your boobs could be accessible enough in it to make it work. It goes up to a 42DDD.
I may try to use it as my nursing bra as I am less than thrilled by the options I have found at Destination Maternity. Like Sarah said, they look like they offer NO support.0 -
PS: You may want to hold off on buying one until after your milk comes in. I have a friend who went from an E cup to a J when her milk came in. I am praying that doesn't happen to me. My girls already overwhelm me. I couldn't even imagine being a J. Anyway, my friend had to get her bras from a specialty store when she was nursing. May be best to hold off because you never know how big you can get.0

I think you might just have to come to grips with the idea of shelling out $50 for a bra. I went from a 34DD pre-pregnancy to a 38G (!) when nursing. $50 is actually a great price for that size bra. I originally picked up a few $15 too-small cheapies at Target, and they totally pinched and gave me plugged ducts (horrific pain!); once I forked out the money for the good bras (in the correct size), I never had any problems at all. The support and comfort of a properly-fitting bra are priceless! And if you're planning on nursing up to a year or longer, it's really worth the investment. Check to see if there are any specialty stores in your area or order online from companies that allow returns, so you can try them on for the best fit.
Edited to add: I've found that maternity stores or departments are usually not the place to find that size bra. You'll probably need to find a breastfeeding help store or sometimes the maternity wing of hospitals have a shop where you can get nursing bras in more extensive sizes.0 -
I think the bill s larger as your cupsize are larger. I was 34 G/H prepregnancy, and I am up to a 36J !! It was the same last time I was preggo, and there only 2-3bra which goes up to this size. I am happy if I can catch one to be on sale for $50. I have to spetial order them in setiality boutique. However, I agree with Jessweighting, the correct size worth it. I BF last time for almost 2 yrs and my nursing bras worth every penny!0

I had a playtex nursing bra with my last (who is almost 6 now..... so it's been a while since I purchased/used/needed it) that I LOVED. It was an "underwire alternative" and had really strong cording in place of the underwire, so it was supportive, kept it's shape, was easy for access as it was a nursing bra, and I loved it.
I've recently had the brain-flash that I need to start looking for nursing bras again.... not looking forward to it!! Getting a professional "fitting" while you're leaking milk all over the place and trying to hold nursing pads on just doesn't sound very appealing..... so I'm not sure how I'm gonna handle that "after baby fitting". :noway:
I DID learn that my typical bra company makes nursing bras though - they're high quality bras, typically around $50 but can find them on sale for $35 if you watch..... so I'm hoping their nursing bra line will be the same!!0 -

I had a friend go from an A cup to a D cup once her milk came in, if it makes you feel better. They went back down to an A after she stopped though. I'm actually jealous of y'all. I guess the grass is always greener, but I wouldn't mind being part of the bitty titty club. If I could donate some of my boobage I would!0
