Hi everyone!
I'm not pregnant but would like to be. My husband and I have been trying since May. After some testing we found out I'm not producing enough progesterone to release an egg. The dose of pills I was given this last time worked but I didn't have sex when I was suppose to so now I have 3-6 months to try. I hope it works.
I did weight 200lbs on Oct 1st of this year and told myself that if I want to have a healthy pregnancy I need to lose some weight. My goal is to weight between 140-150 lbs. I'm almost halfway there! Plus I figured it would make it easier to conceive too if I lost weight.

Best wishes to you in trying to conceive! I wouldn't say rush to lose weight because sometimes taking in too few calories can mess with ovulation. Obviously don't overeat if you can help it but I would maybe try to eat a little below maintenance, as many healthy foods as you can muster, while you TTC.
Oh, and have fun! My husband and I have never had more sex than when we were TTC. I think he wishes it had taken longer...0 -
Good luck to you. I know it can be hard when you have to wait so long to get pregnant. It took me a year and a half to get pregnant with this one, my second. It is well worth the wait though. This is a great excuse for you to take control of your health!0

It took me over a year to get pregnant with fertility meds. I went through 3 cycles of IUI before I was finally able to carry this child (I will be 25 weeks on Thursday). I wish you the best of luck and I know how it feels to want it so badly.0

Good luck on TTC! I have always tried that natural route for things, and I have reccomended this product to friends that had no luck with fertility meds( they had great results). Try Fertilitea. It is an herbal tea to help with conception by encouraging the production of ovulation horomones and regulating you cycle. Here is the link (and it tastes great). Best wishes!

I have heard that Pre-seed is good - it is a lubricant that does not kill sperm. Apparently regular lubricants are not sperm-friendly.
I learned a lot by reading twoweekwait.com. I practically lived on the site while I was waiting to take a pregnancy test! There's lots of TTC advice, as well as places to buy products, including lots of cheapie pregnancy tests.0 -
I will start trying in January. Getting super excited and will def have to check out that tea. I am a super crunchy mama now, so prefer anything natural. Thanks for the heads up!0

Thanks everyone. I figured while I wait I can lose some weigh so I can have a healthy pregnancy. I would like to lose 50 pounds and I'm almost half way there. I figured if I don't succeed in the next 3 months it's ok. We are trying but at the same time not making it a huge deal. Paying off a few things while we wait.0

I suffer from PCOS I had tried a couple rounds of Clomid with insemination and we did not get lucky, actually the letdown each month was taking an emotional toll on me. We gave up on the treatments and I became super conscious of my eating habits and trained for two half marathons back to back. I lost 101 lbs in 16 months and in the week I reached the 100lbs mark we found out we were pregnant We are 27 wks now and hope to deliver in early March.
Take it day by day, do not overwhelm yourself with your goal just know that you will get there and in the end your reward will be worth your struggle.
Wishing you lots of luck and positive energy0 -
It took us a long time to get pregnant, and I lost 40+ lbs in that time. I know being closer to a healthy weight has made it much easier to have a healthy safe pregnancy, so I'm all for it. Just take care of your body and be patient. The tools you learn along the way will be invaluable as you become a mom in teaching your son/daughter how to live and eat well.0
