Hey where's the weekend update?

Hmmm seems everybodies slacking lol. how is it Tuesday and we've had no weekend update..

Friday after pornstore hopping (to find a toga -did't work) we went to the bar to celebrate my friends birthday. Got home at 330 went to work at 8am

Saturday worked all day then went and had a mani/pedi. Went to the party and got chocolate swasted. Played beer pong and I may have even gotten on the stripper pole for a few minutes :drinker: :blushing: :bigsmile:

Sunday was recovery watched a couple of movies with Mr. NG.

Monday I broke up with Mr. NG. Honestly you wont hear me bashing him. He was a nice guy just not the right guy for me. However with all that nervous energy over the break up I cleaned the whole house. I went to kareoke with my FFWB and about 5 other people. Out til 3 and I got to work at 8 am today. There will be a nap in my future when I get off work

I spent all of it with Rufio, volunteering and otherwise staying in. I was going to try and do standup again but with the singing auditions, prep fell by the wayside and I couldn't iron out a decent routine in time. I drank with my roomie instead.

Roomie broke up with his GF so he's been ultra clingy and needy lately. It's exhausting but I'm trying to be there for my friend.

It would be less work if he was content to just hang out and watch TV or talk about other things - but instead it's drinking. Every single day. In excess. Then when he gets really bad he pulls the "I need you" friend card and wants me to drink with him. That's the bad part really.

Friday night was my "birthday dinner" with friends. Every year each of us gather to celebrate our birthdays...fun was had by all.

Saturday I let my boyfriend move his dog in with us. For the last 2 months he had been staying at a friends because I didn't want to deal with the apartment people's rules for having pets, but my boyfriend was missing his dog and tired of having to make plans to visit him, so I caved. He's a 12 year old Cocker Spaniel named "Streets" and he's adorable. It's nice having him around...I ran errands after that and the boyfriend stayed home while Streets adjusted to his new home. I think the hardest thing for me is that I just bought a new, very expensive couch not quite a year ago and I'm paranoid something will happen to it. I have it covered with blankets but I know they can only do so much...short term fix to a long term problem. I'm a control freak, I can't help it...

Sunday was laundry and grocery day then at 4 we went to watch the Steelers beat the "Ratturds" since Cincinnati won out on National TV.

Yesterday was my 34th birthday - worked 1/2 day and met a friend out for lunch and shopping. Then went to dinner and drinks that night with the boyfriend. Weekday birthdays suck when you are an adult - but my best present from my boyfriend isn't until the weekend of the 15th when we go out of town for an weekend - that's what I'm looking forward to the most - we really enjoy travelling together!

All in all a good weekend.

Edit: Sorry to hear about Mr. NG Jen. I'm sure it was for the best though.

Friday I joined my co-workers for a few drinks and dinner while I watched the Celtics beat the Trail Blazers.

On Saturday I decided to do Jillian's 30 day shred and a jog, not such a good idea. I've been in pain all weekend!! I then met my cousin and his friend for lunch and then killed some time at the mall to then meet some friends visiting from VA Beach in Miami. We pre-gamed at the Marenas Resort and then went for delicious Cuban food at El Tropico with live music! It was great! Afterwards stayed with my "friend" and spent Sunday with him.

On Thursday I was invited as a guest to the Whisky Societies whisky tasting and I'm taking him with. Kind of excited about this event.

AND on Saturday is my first 5K!

Friday night I went for a run followed by some wine with some girl friends.

Saturday I had my 8 week hair appointment and he did a sample of my hair for an event this thursday.
Saturday night a group of us went to the holiday party thrown by the league that does all the sports we participate in. There was some people I hadn't seen in awhile so it was good to catch up. I was the DD so only had 1 drink the whole night but still danced the night away. I don't have to be drunk to make a fool of myself on the dance floor. Oh yeah I still can do the tootsie roll.

Sunday we were supposed to go to Ashville and go hiking but my friends were too hung over so it ended up being me on the couch watching lifetime/hallmark holiday movies.

I've been in hibernation for a couple of weeks. Did the 5 day Inferno Plan (Turbo Fire) last week and continued with exercise and healthy eating this weekend. No alcohol. I was beginning to feel like a wobbling womble, so something had to be done!! :laugh:

Feel much better now, but alas, the xmas parties start next Monday lunchtime!!! And I have 4 that week - OMG!!!

Friday night I went to a bib pickup/Christmas party for my 5k that was on Saturday. It was with our local AAA baseball team, so the kids loved seeing the mascot and of course Santa and the Snow Queen.

Saturday morning, the kids walked their first 5k with me and we had such a good time. That afternoon, they had a final dress rehearsal for their church musical the next morning. I spent a few hours of "me" time wandering through Barnes and Noble that night and then reading and playing on the laptop in Starbucks. It's normally very quiet there on Saturday nights, with a few singles coming and going, but unfortunately it was very busy and loud (lots of couples in and out all night). I guess everyone was out holiday shopping and made stops for snacks after. I'll have to keep that in mind when looking for a quiet place for the next few weeks.

I woke up at 3am Sunday with the stomach flu. I still brough the kids to church for their musical. Both did so amazingly well, but we left immediately after the second performance. Instead of having a celebratory lunch at a restaurant, we picked up takeout. I was so sick I couldn't bring the tree downstairs to decorate like we had planned. Luckily my kids are amazing and assured me that we could take care of it later in the week. I felt so rotten, but they were awesome about it all.

Dude, I know Jen, the game was amazing. I remember thinking after the last field goal "how did that happen?" It makes me wonder if they "purposely" lost the game the week before? I mean, they can beat the Raven's who lead our division and get slaughtered by the team up north that loses like EVERY game?

Pretty much half the city appears to be sick. My FB timeline is full of either people sick or half their office is sick. The city should be givin out vats of chicken soup.
