Hi -
I was wondering if anyone else takes Selenium or Kelp to help with antibody levels... I was taking both and my levels went down to 234- stopped taking them and now my levels are up to 457 and I feel like crap. I am gluten free and low carb and do kick boxing about 7 hours a week..... Just wondering if anyone has seen the same thing - I bought some more last night so I can start taking them again - to see if my levels go back down. grrr this sucks...

My mom has hashimoto's and I know that her doctor has her taking both iodine and selenium supplements as well as her thyroid meds. The biggest thing that changed her numbers was going gluten free. She was off the charts initially (over 6000), and now is in the 2400 range.

I dont know what my levels are but I also have Hashi's. I dont take iodine supplements but I do take Selenium. My biggest change is when I eat gluten free. I am still in the beginning attempts at being GF and I get weak sometimes (I have a soft spot for tortillas) but I notice that when I am GF, I feel better and I lose weight faster. Also the Selenium has helped me to feel better as well.
