Calorie help

How do I know how many calories is the right amount? I have my goal set at 1600 but I go over that at night. I usually don't log my dinner calories as closet but I leave enough calories at the en of the day to not go over by an extensive amount. I'm 5'3. At my first appointment I was about 160. My midwife wants me to gain about 25 pounds and I've gained a little more than 10. I just wanna be able to set my REAL calorie goal. I am 23 weeks, due April 1st. Any advice would be appreciated!

It's recommended for the first tri to be at maintenance calories, so use whatever MFP suggests for maintaining your current weight. When you get to the second and third tri, you only need 250-300 more cals a day for healthy weight gain/pregnancy (set MFP to gain 1/2 lb a week for this setting). Hope this helps!0
