Okay, I'm fuming.
Span, I was disappointed about but could potentially understand.
Revere?! Now they've lost me. T_T

They were both good trades.
Span needed to go. He bugged me. Too much of a head case, and it really effected his play. The prospect they got for him was pretty good.
The Revere deal is even better. A decent starter for now, and a really good prospect to come up.
The Twins are going to suck until they realize/admit they need to rebuild. Their minor leagues are terrible with major league ready players. 2014 is really the year things should start to turn around again. They need to move pieces they can to build for that time frame. They were going to lose 85-90 games again this season with all of their holes, and their pathetic pitching. I'm ok with building for 2014. If anyone wants Morneau or Willingham, they need to listen on them too.0 -
I admit, I'm a little frustrated simply because Revere was my own personal favorite player, but I still don't view these as good trades. It's like we're supposed to just sit back and take it in the rear and hope that the M&M boys will pull through for us next year. I'm going to miss Ben's energy and enthusiasm for the game. There are few players out there who will throw themselves across the field to make that many diving catches. That was worth paying the money to see.0

Morneau won't be here next year. I think he gets traded at the trade deadline this summer. Mauer won't lead anything, he just simply isn't a leader. It wouldn't break my heart if he got traded either.0

I don't mind either trade. They have a 1st round pick invested in center for the future and a couple guys in the minors that can fill in till he's ready. They needed the pitching, and I agree with jessejames3ba, it wouldn't break my heart if the M&M boys go also. The franchise needs to seriously rebuild instead of play games like they have been.0

I agree with Jesse that both seemed like good trades. Lets face the fact that the Twins are horrible right now and are likely to be horrible for another year or two. What we really need are some quality young prospects to help us rebuild. I think the trade accomplished this goal.0
