I was told with any weight program, you can see results within 4 weeks? Is this the same case? And if so, can you post progress pictures?

Depends on where you're starting and how hard you're looking for results.

I'd already been lifting over a year when I started stronglifts, but not following any program. I was happy with my weight and body shape, and I'm eating at maintenance, so I'm not going to have any eye-popping "Holy crap!" kind of transformations. There's some changes, but I'm most impressed with how much my lifting has improved.

    ^^

if you've NEVER lifted before, or never done anything heavier than 30 day shred, then you'll see results within a couple weeks unless your food is wildly out of whack.

If you're already a consistent lifter and just switching programs, it will depend on what you were doing before, but you'll likely still see some kind of results in areas you weren't working much before.

Mostly I measure my results in lift progress though. At some point its ALL slow progress, so you have to learn to enjoy the process without expecting frequent physical rewards.

Early on in lifting I tightened up like crazy without dropping a single pound. I actually dropped basically a full pants size without losing any weight.

I"m not doing what many on here would consider a true lifting program. I am doing ChaLEAN Extreme. It's lifting to a video and asks you to lift heavy. I noticed that I was able to lift heavier within those first 4 weeks. The tape measure showed I lost inches, but I didn't notice. Now I have a lot to lose so I believe that also has a lot to do with it. After 6 weeks, I feel a difference in my arms and legs.

^^ This is what I have been doing - my lifting is getting better - weight/reps/form and I consider that massive progress AND my scale hasnt moved (Hypothyroid) BUT my pants are all bigger and Ive dropped a size....
  • I'm about to start my third week and I can say the same as the ladies above. My love handles on my back have lessened, and my stomach (my bellybutton) doesn't show through all of my shirts like it used to. Also my quads look pretty darn good! hahaha I stopped weighing myself, I figured if i was going to keep with this and start lifting I was going to worry about how i felt and how I fit into clothes. Because I don't care what the scale says if my BF% is down and I look good!! :D I also do cardio 3x/week so I work out 6x/week And I eat really clean too....so it depends like someone else said where you are starting and what your plan is! Eating well is 70% of this game! :)
