Day 5 of no Diet Coke

After trying to cut back on my Diet Coke consumption (at one time I drank 6 cans a day), I finally gave it up cold turkey. I had cut down to three or four a day, but I keep hearing how drinking diet soda actually hinders weight loss. I had been hovering around the same weight for several weeks, so I thought why not try to give it up and see what happens? I've been drinking a lot more water and iced tea (un-sweetened). Only once have I really missed the sweet bubbly stuff, and the scale has been moving down again.

way to go!! good for you and staying strong.
I quit smoking in July, cold turkey, like you. I had a few cravings but overall, found it easy to do. My hubby still smokes and it has created a few moments between us because I don't like to sit in a room while he's having one, not that it makes me want one, it's just the smell is disgusting!! lol.
As far as food, I haven't really given anything up. I still eat ice cream, cakes and chips, just take a look at my diary!!0 -
I once gave up sugar and sodas cold turkey. My skin ended up looking flawless and I lost the belly fat rapidly. Once you get going, and see the results, it's so easy to keep it up. The compliments from random strangers help reinforce why you want to keep doing it.0

I was doing great with my weightloss until I started drinking Diet Coke. I gained 15 of the lbs back in the same time I lost 30lbs. UGH!!
No more Diet Coke for me - back to H2O.0
