Hi all,

Following an injury earier this year I've been struggling to get back into exercise. I've been trying a 10-15 minute walk each day but the weather is getting worse (I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland) so I thought I would try indoor walking.

I've heard about Lesley Sansone on MFP but she is not well known in the UK. I thought about checking her out on You Tube but thought someone could suggest what I should look out for and try before I buy.

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks x

    Lots of Youtube links ......

Older Walk Away the Pounds (WATP).... music is usually a little on the quiet side, the DVDs are not chaptered (usually means you have to do the whole workout). The upside to WATP is that there are several compilations .... these are a bargain .... several workouts for shipping just 1 item.

Walk at Home ...or newer "Just Walk" videos .... the music is louder, chaptered DVDs (mostly) mean you can "skip" miles. Look for a DVD with several miles; you can "skip" around.

www.collagevideo.com is a website that will give you loads of information..... video clips .... tells you if the DVD requires equipment ...lets you know if it's chaptered....... if it has a music only option .... etc.

Another website is totalfitnessdvds.com ..... this site give lots of info too.

I think TeaBee covered the bases very well.

I second looking at Collage Video to see a 60 second preview of her workouts.

I like her older ones, myself. The 4 Mile Super Challenge is great. It's part of the series TeaBee mentioned called WAPT.

One "newer" one I like is Walk Your Belly Flat, but it is not the her best production. Lot's of funny camera angles and not her best queing, but it does work on the belly-so it's a keeper for me.

    Hope this helps.

I would make two suggestions...if you want an older compilation that allows you to build up gradually, buy
the Ultimate Collection. That has seperate one mile, two miles, three miles or four miles all on one DVD.
The last one, 4 Mile Super Challenge, is especially invigorating and fun!

The newer one is Walk Slim-5 Really Big Miles was made in 2011 and like the UC has a toning band with
exercises included in the second and fourth miles. There are new moves like intervals, runs, squats and
lunges in this workout...use it only after you get comfortable with the UC and need a more challenging
workout. Remember to check the DVD to make sure it's compatible with your DVD player.

    Happy walking! Sue
