How 'bout that snow??

Holy cow that was a lot of snow! Any runners know what trails are generally well cleared/plowed quickly? Hope everyone had a decent commute today...

I spent a lot of yesterday and some of this morning shoveling - it's a good workout!

Sadly I don't know much about the running trails. I don't think I have shoes that have good enough grip for running in this weather!
  • you mean they actually clear some trails.. say what !!

Drove in it yesterday and wow!

I don't think they clean the trails yet, maybe go online around your neighborhood and find out.
  • they barely cleaned the roads

The commute was worse today than Monday... 1 1/2 hours to go from Blaine to downtown St. Paul.

As long as it does not get 50 below... I like the snow. When it starts getting below 0 I just hate everything outside. :)

We got 10 inches of snow in the Zimmerman area. The snow arrived on Sunday--the day we had our early Family Christmas Gathering. But being good ol' Minnesotans, the storm didn't stop us from having a fun family celebration!

Today I saw a legally blind woman walking down snowy sidewalks. She caused me to think I have NO excuse for walking even in MN in the winter months. She was legally blind and going for walks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah lots of traffic the last few days. I am not sure about the winter running trails. I was not aware they were ever cleared by anything other than the sun. Lately I have been running on the treadmill at the gym or at the Metrodome. When the snow melts I will continue to run outside
