Dawn's "I can't run that far" status

Goal: run/jog a 5K to work toward the zombie run in August.
So I posted today that I really want to star the C25K program and was asking for people's opinions. I got some nice feedback and my dear friend Rachel invited me to this group as another incentive to get me started and keep me motivated. I live in Western Pa where the four seasons are "almost winter," "winter," "still winter" and "construction." I have never ran (except after the ice cream truck, but the darn thing just teases me...lol) Because of the upcoming weather, I was thinking about doing this on a treadmill at the gym because I am in no way in any shape or form to run in public on the streets, but I think the treadmill would be way too boring so after some feedback from my awesome friends, I decided to just go for the gusto, and start the program on Monday - outdoors! I'm going to get good running shows, some reflective clothing, some Under Armor and a new attitude. 12-12-12 is the END of my old life and lucky 13 will be the start of a new one.
My goal is similar to Rachel's - do this on M-W-F and do weights at the gum T-R-S. Looking forward to starting this new venture!
