Cut the guy a break already. Sheesh! He's a medical resident and has a demanding job and probably works close to 90 hours/week.

It does sound like he wants everything on his terms, but maybe that's all he can handle now. Is your life as demanding as his is at the moment?

You're asking us for advice, which means you are still on the fence (though leaning toward not giving him a chance). I say give him one more chance, go out for dinner, and see what transpires from that date.

I agree with Mike. lol. Sometimes people just need to understand that the world does not revolve around them and that sometimes life gets in the way. It sounds to me like he keeps trying to make a connection. If you like him and have nothing else going on, why not try and go out on a date and see where it goes.

While I agree that work is an important consideration, I don't think that's the problem here. I think it's the communication.

Though she does have the right to choose if she wants to be someone that is going to be so completely wrapped up in their work. There are people like me that are okay with it, and there are some people that would rather get more attention. Both are fine, it's just a matter of compatibility.
