OCD

Hi I’m Tony. I live with OCD and am in treatment. Not the fun OCD that drives you to keep a kitchen clean or something. It’s those three little letters make such a difference. I am "tripping" over my weight, which makes me want to eat to feel better. I get heavier then OCD harder prompting me to eat more. Rinse Repeat.
I have had eating disorders come and go in the past. Anxious people agitate my OCD so I try to avoid them. Once I eat a small ice cream, I will be downing oreos for the next 24 hours or so. My down hills are cliffs where I cannot stop falling. I know I am hurting myself and I want to stop. Maybe for a moment then off the cliff again.
I do unwise things to distract and satisfy my OCD episodes. Trying to slow those down, with some success.

Day 1 for me. One of many day 1's in the past. It’s ironic that I get tired, but my OCD has no such affliction.

As a person with OCD I can definetely verify that there is no "fun" variety. Whether it's cleaning, checking or ruminating, it's all equally debilitating for the sufferer.
I am not sure I understand what your obsession and compulsion is? To overeat? That sounds more like binge eating disorder. Are you in eating disorder treatment? Eating disorders, OCD, trichotillomania and compulsive skin picking are all on the same spectrum of disorders, lots of similarities.
Best wishes and hoping you feel better.
