1 step back, but maybe 2 steps forward?

I had a Drs Appt this morning because I was having sharp abdominal pain on both sides the other day, and then the past 2 days I had nausea and fever too. I was worried something serious was going on, but it turns out it was likely a ruptured cyst, and everything is okay now. Although that was good, my gynocologist (who mostly deals with fertility stuff) acted irritated with me (yet again) for telling her about my problems.
I was on the bc pill for 10 years and always had problems with it. Lots of side effects, headaches, and still had severe PCOS symptoms on top of it. I tried 6 or 7 different pills until I finally decided to ditch it and go with a copper IUD. Now, this dr keeps telling me there is literally nothing she can do for me except put me back on the pill, and to come back when I want to get pregnant. This is SO frustrating, because I KNOW there are other options out there, but I'm no doctor.
I finally found a gyno/endocrinologist who speaks English (yay!) and can fit me in in January (double yay!), but I need a referral, and my dr this morning refused to give me one. I guess I'll have to ask the general practice doctor.
I try to focus on the positive, but sometimes feeling unheard or marginalized just frustrates me so much that I have trouble picking myself up that day....

It's hard when you can't find a doctor to listen to you. I went years going to military doctors (my dad was in the navy) and they kept telling me I was fat at 10 because my body was getting itself ready for carrying a baby, plus other stupid stuff. Had issues when first finding out I had psoriatic arthritis. The first doctor I went to never wanted to listen to me. Told him I was in lots of pain on the meds I was on, so he reduced the dosage. I was in even more pain. Then he wanted to try to put me on meds I couldn't afford. Finally found a doctor that will listen to me. It will all work out for you. It just seems to be disheartening when a doctor just wants to give up on you.0
