It's the end of the world as we know it

I know the world isn't ending but is anyone doing anything for it? Any bar crawls, parties, events excetra ? As many people are using it as an excuse to drink even more then they normally would. My friends 40th birthday happens to be 12/21/12 so there is going to be an End of the World Birthday party for him. Everyone is encourgaged to bring something mayan/mexican to eat or drink. I am thinking about making spicy chocolate cupcakes or get some chocolate coins.

    I have a friend who's turning 35 tomorrow and he's doing a dinner/drinks thing at a local bar. He got married this year and his first baby is due in March, so he's hoping this isn't his last birthday!

    We are supposed to get some nasty weather (nasty for OH and the first snow storm always brings out the crazies) so I may or may not attend. Depending on my mood I may just stay home, under a blanket on the couch alone cuddled up with the dog. The boyfriend left for Tennessee this morning, and it's been about 3 months since I've had a couple days by myself.

    Oh please there are a ton of End of the world parties tomorrow. However I have the kids so I probably wont get to go to any of them lol.(unless my sister stay home)

    But yeah they are announcing all sort of end of the world mayan parties all over the radio and such

    i'm keeping my kids home from school tomorrow.
    i don't think the world is ending, but i have no clue what the crazies out there have planned ;-)

    we are going to make gingerbread men!!! LOL

    6 months? I'd die. It's my only weakness when it comes to food. I have it at least once every 2-3 weeks.

    Well gonna take the approach linked to what the mayan's really believed from today that the calender resets from today, not ends, so tgonna try to take the approach that this is the beginning of the new me as of today. as good a day as any i guess. this is the first day of the rest of my life as they say.

    And on the subject of the predictions, is it overly reliable listening to the futureseers who failed to predict the demise of their own civilization?

    I like your approach, and share your questions about the credibility of the Mayan ability to predict the end of the world, when they either didn't predict, or took no steps to prevent, the end of their own civilisation!:laugh:
